Allen’s storytelling ability is very strong and within his tale there is a great deal of humor (a breath of fresh air in any novel), drama, mystery, joy and the ability to create very elaborate story arcs. I came away from “Counterfeit Luck,” choked up. I was deeply moved by this novel. I like that the emotion raised doesn’t end there. As readers we are moved into the territory of action. Allen has done something incredible and I really hope many others will read this book and be motivated to develop spiritually and change the world, which seems to be the intention. Highly recommended.
